Rico & Rosmarie Baltensweiler

The easily adjustable Type 600 counterpoised standard lamp was designed and constructed by Rosmarie and Rico Baltensweiler for their own use in 1950.  Publication of the design in an avant-garde specialist journal resulted in strong demand from exclusive furnishing retailers in Switzerland and abroad which led to establishment of the Baltensweiler Studio in 1951.

The lamp is also famous by it's appearance in the movie from Jacques Tati,  'Mon Oncle' from 1958.
